Charleston Cupolas
A cupola is used on top of a roof to help ventilate the building. An attractive cupola will also add to the overall appearance of a building. If you are planning on installing a cupola on your building or home, look at the Charleston cupola.
A cupola can be divided into three parts, the base, the louvered section, and the roof. A Charleston cupola is four sided. The base of the cupola has straight lines which reach up to the louvered section. The louvers of a Charleston cupola are framed, with an arch on the top. The roof of a Charleston cupola is “pagoda” style.
You have a choice of materials when picking the Charleston cupola. You can pick from copper or aluminum for the roof and cedar or vinyl for the body of the cupola. A cedar cupola has the natural look and texture of wood. A vinyl cupola requires little maintenance after installation. A copper roof is the traditional favorite, while an aluminum roof is an attractive, lower cost alternative. |
